Four Outfits With a Navy Sweater + 9 More From the Archives

Fall Outfits With a Navy Sweater

I’ve spoken about this navy sweater several times recently, so I thought I’d put them together in one post for a navy sweater remix!  It is a very basic piece, and honestly I would have passed it up in the store for being boring.  Yet, its simplicity is what makes it so, SO versatile!  Today I’m sharing four outfits with a navy sweater that I’ve worn recently.  At the bottom of this post I’ll link to 9 of my old outfits to show you even more ways to wear a navy sweater!

This sweater is a medium weight and is soft and comfortable to wear.  It is somewhat fitted, which makes it great for layering under blazers as well as tucking into skirts while still being flattering.  I tend to own looser pullovers and wear them for casual outfits with jeans, so it’s nice to have a few sweaters that you can tuck into skirts or wear under blazers for more tailored looks.  Especially great for business casual outfits!

It was nearly out of stock, but is popping back in and out in various sizes.  I wear size M, and it is fitted but has stretch.  It comes in 15 colors, which is kind of nuts, but it’s a great sweater so YAYYYYY that it comes in more colors to add to a remixable wardrobe!  Find them all HERE!

If you really wanted navy, there is a nearly identical sweater HERE.  I haven’t tried it first hand, so I don’t know how it feels or fits, but there are lots of reviews that should provide more info!

SIZING INFO: I’m 5’6″ and usually S/M or 6/8 in clothes, 8.5 to 9 in shoes.

Bright Skirt + Printed Pumps + Statement Necklace
Gahhhh I love this one!  Navy and yellow go fantastically together, but a rust colored skirt would be great as well!  My skirt is fully stocked in XXS to 4X and comes in rust orange too!  (Plus several other pretty colors!)  It’s fully lined and has pockets!  See all the colors HERE.

Since both the sweater and skirt are solids, add leopard print pumps to make the outfit pop!

Textured Skirt + Statement Necklace
A textured skirt provides visual interest and also it simply keeps you a bit warmer in fall than a more flowy skirt like the one above.  You could do this combo with a sweater of any color.  But specifically for this navy sweater, I love how the navy makes the red and burgundy look rich.  Make sure to add a statement necklace to complete this outfit!

Printed Blazer + Jeans + Pendant or Statement Necklace + Colorful Flats
See how well it works under a blazer?  Try it under a striped blazer, herringbone blazer, or houndstooth blazer like this one!  I personally like how herringbone and houndstooth are a heavier material which compliments a sweater nicely.  Then, make the whole thing pop, again, with shoes.  Go for colored flats!

Lastly, a simple solid sweater complements a printed skirt beautifully!  The easiest way to make it cohesive is to pair it with a skirt that has the same color as your sweater.  This is a dressy look for work but would be great for a holiday party too!
