Some friends and I are the live band for my brother’s wedding reception to kick off the dance party. (There’s a
15 second clip on Instagram of me singing if you’re interested!) When I got back from my work retreat on Friday I jumped into a 5.5 hour band rehearsal on Saturday and wanted nothing but comfy. This outfit fit the bill.
I’ve always loved how hoodies look under jackets and blazers, but I never had a hoodie to do it with. Until now! Scooped
this baby up at Target. Despite the fact that I bought it to work out in, I wore it under my cargo jacket all last week at the retreat and now under a denim jacket. Never mind that the hoodie is a little long for the denim jacket—I’m willing to overlook that in exchange for extra warmth and a hood. <3
Lastly, a note on
this skirt—it’s the one from last week’s
skirt post and I’m really dang happy with it. It’s a little thicker than most maxi skirts I’ve tried, the perfect length (I’m 5’6”), and it does NOT have a fold over waistband. I can tolerate those, but don’t prefer them. Given that this waistband is normal elastic, I might have to get this skirt in some other colors!
