Happy New Year! I took some time to reflect on my goals from 2025 and set goals for 2026. Today I’m giving you a peek behind the scenes and sharing my reflections from last year and what I’ll be focusing on in 2026 — both personally and here on PMT!
In case you missed it, I also recently posted Best Sellers & Top Favorite Blog Posts From 2025 and My Favorite Items & How I Grew My Style In 2025.
How I Did On My Goals for 2025
Strength training about 3x per week
I wasn’t aiming for long or intense workouts, rather to simply build the habit and build consistency to maintain muscle mass, even if some (many!) days were just a quick 10 minute strength training. I did pretty well overall and definitely built more consistency, though a couple of injuries took me out for longer stretches than I wanted. Overall, not bad!
Reduce added sugars (plus focusing on more natural sugars)
I have a mega sweet tooth, and one of my goals this year was to reduce my added sugars and opt for natural sugars or just less sugars in general. I actually did pretty well with this overall! I cut back on random sweets and chose things with natural sugars or just less sugars in general. Admittedly, I started getting a little more lenient in October and on, so the new year is a helpful time to tighten up towards better habits again. 😊 Considering how big my sweet tooth is, I’m pretty proud of this year as a whole though!
Use less heat on my hair
I bought heatless curlers to help with this, but my daughters quickly stole them. 😄 Long story short: I did horribly with this goal — but it’s officially back on my radar for next year.
Solo trip to visit friends
One goal was to take a solo trip to visit some friends, and that didn’t happen this year for a variety of reasons. That’s okay. This one was more of a “nice to have” than a high priority in this season. Instead, we traveled more than we’d planned as a family and gave our children some great core memories. 😊
Nurture a creative hobby
I’m a singer and musician, and I wanted to take voice lessons as a way to pour into that. But, that didn’t happen. Instead, another hobby made a comeback: volleyball. Watching my oldest get into it made me want to get back into it myself, so I went to an adult volleyball clinic in the fall as a kickstarter. It was really fun. I hadn’t done some of the things I did there in 24 years (which was wild—a lot of the participants there were around that age or younger!!) I was super sore, bruised a toenail, and pulled a muscle lol, but it was totally worth it. 😅
What Happened at PMT in 2025
Behind the scenes at PMT, 2025 was a huge year, even if a lot of the changes weren’t obvious day to day.
Strengthened the foundations of PMT
I spent a ton of time rebuilding and reinforcing the behind-the-scenes structure of the business. Definitely not “shiny new things” and more “renovating the house’s plumbing and support systems so everything works better long-term.” While a lot of the changes are not very visible outwardly, a lot of change happened behind the scenes, and it feels really good heading into next year knowing those pieces are solid.
Ran Capsule Week (twice!)
One of the biggest highlights of the year was running Capsule Week in the spring and summer. I LOVED seeing your results. Helping you learn how to mix and match and watching style come together for you is one of my favorite things ever. Several of you shared that you’d been trying forever to figure this out, and it finally clicked during Capsule Week. Ahhhh I love that!!
Started the Friday newsletter
I started sending Friday newsletters this year, where I share a little more randomness, everyday life, self-deprecating humor 😆, and behind-the-scenes peeks. I’ve loved writing those, and knowing you enjoy them and laugh along with me makes it even better!

Learned and grew through masterminds
I spent time this year in several masterminds with long-time bloggers, membership leaders, influencers, and content creators. Being in those rooms sharpened my thinking so much, and I learned things I’m genuinely excited to build on next year and serve you better!
My Goals for 2026
Looking ahead to 2026, I’m feeling excited to build on all of these things.
Ramp up my workouts and fitness plan
I want to build on the habits I started this year and take it up another notch. I’m planning to do FASTer Way to Fat Loss again at the start of the year. It feels like a doable next step for me to build on habits. You can read all about my previous experiences with FASTer Way here.
Continue with reducing added sugars
While I made a lot of changes and some excellent progress this year, I still want to strengthen and solidify this as a longterm way of life. So, I’m making it a focus again in 2026.
Use heat on my hair one less day per week
Keeping this one very realistic. One less day still counts!
Get back into volleyball
I’m gonna start small, as committing to a full league still feels like a stretch logistically with our kids’ schedules. For the time being, I simply want to keep making space for it with smaller goals like going to a few open gyms and refining different skills.
We also have some family goals on the radar, like travel plans, continuing Friday family nights, and hosting more often at our house.
PMT Goals for 2026
For PMT, 2026 feels like a year to build on a really strong foundation.
Rewrite Simply Put Together
This is my step-by-step course to help you feel effortlessly put together each day, and it’s long overdue for a complete refresh. The way we all consume information and learn is so different these days, and I’m excited to help you get a handle on your style faster and with less friction!
Sharpen the PMT Style Club
I started PMT Style Club in 2022, and while it’s evolved in a lot of good ways, it’s ready for its next phase — leveled up, more focused, more refined, and even more supportive.
Continue to learn from other business owners and creators
I’ll be staying connected with bloggers, membership leaders, influencers, and content creators through the masterminds I’m part of. That learning has been invaluable, and I can’t wait to keep building on it!
Add teammates
As PMT continues to grow, I want to make sure things are supported in a way that allows me to focus on what I do best — creating helpful content, teaching style clearly, and showing up for you consistently — and allows PMT as a whole to serve you better. I’m looking forward to adding some teammates to do that! (And if you like shopping, social media, and Canva and are interested in a part-time role with flexible hours, let me know. 😉)
Thank you so much for being here this year — for reading, following along, and trusting me with your style. I’m really grateful for this community, and I’m excited to head into 2026 together!
