It’s time for a remix! You know I LOVE having a closet full of clothes that are versatile and that you can mix and match easily. It makes getting dressed easier, allows you to have more outfits for different occasions while buying fewer clothes, and saves you money! So today I’m going to share 8 outfits with black wide leg pants, including both casual and work outfits!

You can create these outfits with any wide leg pants you already own, black pants in any cut, and even with black jeans. But THIS specific pair of black wide leg pants is AMAZINGGGGG! These pants are SO. FREAKING. COMFORTABLE. They’re super duper SOFT, smooth, and incredibly STRETCHY, but they’re thick so they look really polished and pulled together. That said, you can also dress them down so easily with a t-shirt and sneakers, as you’ll see in this post. That’s why I LOVE them — ridiculously comfortable and soooo versatile! SIZING; I’m 5’6” and usually S/M or 6 in clothes and 8.5 to 9 in shoes.
1. Work: Navy Printed Blouse + Loafers
First up is an easy work look. Can you pair navy and black? Yes! My tip is for the navy to be closer to a blue than a dark navy that can read black. That way, there’s a distinction between the two colors, rather than it looking like it was an accident. This top is not currently available in this colorway, but you can find it in other colorways HERE and a similar navy blue top HERE. The top drapes well and can be fully tucked into pants and skirts or worn loosely bloused out. I wear size S. I finished off the look with black loafers to coordinate with the black pants.

2. Casual: Black Striped Tee + Sneakers
Now for one of the easiest casual outfits with black wide leg pants! Dress these pants down with a t-shirt (preferably one that has black in it like this one to help your outfit look pulled together). Then, finish it off with stylish lifestyle sneakers. You can really wear any t-shirt that looks good with black.

I added a denim jacket, though you can wear the outfit without it, too. You may have noticed this jacket is a staple in my wardrobe! I love how it has an ever so slightly looser fit, without being baggy. Also, it’s sturdy but really stretchy! And it’s affordable. Find it HERE in two washes. I wear a size S.

3. Work: Neutral Sweater + Loafers
Here’s one of the easiest outfits with black wide leg pants: pair them with a neutral sweater! This works most easily with a sweater that is not super bulky, is somewhat more fitted, and is short enough to not need to be tucked in. This sweater is a great example, and it’s super affordable! Find it in several colors, HERE. I’m wearing size M — I sized up since it is pretty fitted, and I like it a tad looser. I once again finished it off with black loafers to keep the colors consistent between the black pants and shoes.

4. Sweater + Flats
Here’s another take on pairing a sweater with black wide leg pants. This sweater is currently sold out, unfortunately, but this sweater could also work.

5. Elevated Casual: Printed Top + Pops of Color
One of my favorite formulas for outfits with wide leg pants is to wear a printed top with black in it and then pull out another color from the print and use it elsewhere in the outfit. Here I have a floral print tee with a black background and red flowers. The black in the top coordinates with the black pants to create cohesion. Then, I pulled out the red from the top and echoed it in my earrings and shoes!
I love this combo so much that I’ve done it with both a tee and a nicer top. This tee is super affordable and can be found HERE. I’m wearing size M for a slightly more relaxed fit. My blouse is unfortunately no longer available.

6. Black/White Print Blouse + (Colored Layer – Optional)
Go with a black and white print blouse of your choice! The black in the print ties in with the black pants for a cohesive outfit. Then, because your outfit base is all neutrals (black and white), you can add a pop of color anywhere, like in your shoes or with a colored layer!
