One big question seems to be what other shoes you could wear with a maxi dress/skirt during cold weather besides flats.  I’m glad I was not the only one wondering this!  

The first picture with leopard flats is how I wore this outfit since I was running errands and generally want flats for that.  The second pic shows it with ankle boots for an alternative to flats.  I originally tried it with black ankle boots, but it was too much black everywhere and needed some contrast.  I was surprised that I really liked the look with ankle boots, especially in light of the leather jacket, but what I really love is the functionality.  With ankle boots you can wear tights too if you need more warmth!  

Here are a few options for black lace tees.  These are great to pair with jeans, heels, and a sparkly necklace for casual holiday events.
