6 Ideas for Olive Wide Leg Pants

Do you have a pair of olive green wide leg pants yet? Olive green pants have been a staple in my wardrobe for a long time, although the silhouettes and details of the style have changed over time now it’s the wide leg version. Today I’m sharing 6 ideas for how to wear olive green wide leg pants to give you some inspiration and some outfits you can copy for easy styling!

I recently shared a post called 5 Comfortable Pants to Wear This Spring. Olive green wide leg pants were included in that post, and today I want to feature them in their own post! I got the ones shown in the photos last spring, and they’ve been one of my go-to pairs of pants (during warmer months) ever since then!

Updated: The olive green pants I’m wearing are no longer available, but these (HERE) are very similar.

Here are some ideas for how to wear olive wide leg pants!

SIZING: I’m 5’6” and usually S/M or 6 in clothes and 8.5 to 9 in shoes.

1. Black Tee + Olive Wide Leg Pants
This has been my favorite way to wear olive wide leg pants! Black + olive has been a go-to combo of mine for years, but the update to olive wide leg pants makes it fresh. You can finish off this outfit with sandals, like I’m showing here. I like how the braids add detail to otherwise plain pieces. I also like to wear this combo with lifestyle sneakers like these.

This black tee is my FAVORITE. T-shirts are not all created equal, and though plain t-shirts are simple, this Northside Vintage Tee from Madewell looks much more stylish than cheaper tees. It’s thick, holds its shape, and drapes beautifully. Find it HERE. I wear size M. I recommend sizing up! If you need an extra layer, top it off with a denim jacket like this one HERE!

2. Black Blouse + Olive Wide Leg Pants
You could also dress it up a tad and go for a blouse instead of a t-shirt! The details at the sleeves make it cute, even if the rest of it is simple!

I added loafers to the look to give it a little dimension, though simple black flats would be fine as well.

3. Striped Tee + Olive Wide Leg Pants
Swap a plain black tee with a striped tee instead! If you need a go-to idea for how to wear olive green wide leg pants, this is one of my favorites! The print adds interest to your outfit automatically, so you can add style and details with the same amount of effort as wearing a plain tee. I love this striped tee, which is currently available HERE! I’m wearing size S.

This denim jacket I’m wearing is thick and sturdy but also very stretchy. Really affordable too — especially during one of Kohl’s frequent sales! Find it in 2 washes HERE. I’m wearing size S.

4. White Blouse + Olive Wide Leg Pants
You can also dress up olive wide leg pants with a white flowy blouse for a simple but polished outfit! Top it off with flats and a denim jacket, and you can wear it to your casual work setting or out to lunch.

This blouse is so versatile and can be paired with almost anything. I love that it’s flowy, so you get the details of a collar and buttoned shirt without the stiffness or stuffiness. Find it in 10 colors, HERE. I wear size S.

5. Printed Top + Olive Wide Leg Pants
Olive is a pseudo-neutral, so it goes with quite a lot of different colors. Play around and see what you like! This printed top is olive-based, so it coordinates well with olive wide leg pants. But, it also throws in some other colors to mix it up and keep it from looking completely matchy. This exact top is no longer available, but you can find a similar one in several prints, HERE. I wear size S.

For a topper, I added a white lightweight jacket to give the color scheme a little “lift.” You could also add a medium wash denim jacket for more dimension and contrast. As you can see, the denim jacket is a perfect topper and makes figuring out how to wear olive green wide leg pants easy!
