Do you have a pair of olive green wide leg pants yet? Olive green pants have been a staple in my wardrobe for a long time, although the silhouettes and details of the style have changed over time, and now it’s the wide leg version. Today I’m sharing 6 ideas for how to wear olive green wide leg pants to give you some inspiration and some outfits you can copy for easy styling!
I recently shared a post called 5 Comfortable Pants to Wear This Spring. These olive green wide leg pants were included in that post, and today I want to feature them in their own post! They are really lightweight, soft, flexible, and comfortable with plenty of stretch. I got them last spring, and they’ve been one of my go-to pairs of pants (during warmer months) ever since then! I was so happy to see that they’re available again this year! You can find them in straight, plus, petite, and tall sizing and in 4 colors, HERE! I wear size 4. I definitely recommend sizing down, as these run quite large.
There are several other pairs of olive wide leg pants available this season, too! I’ve rounded some of them up at the bottom of this post, along with olive pants in other cuts in case wide leg isn’t your thing.
Here are some ideas for how to wear olive wide leg pants!
SIZING: I’m 5’6” and usually S/M or 6 in clothes and 8.5 to 9 in shoes.
1. Black Tee + Olive Wide Leg Pants
This has been my favorite way to wear olive wide leg pants! Black + olive has been a go-to combo of mine for years, but the update to olive wide leg pants makes it fresh.
You can finish off this outfit with sandals, like I’m showing here. I like how the braids add detail to otherwise plain pieces. I also like to wear this combo with lifestyle sneakers like these from Dolce Vita HERE.
This black tee is my FAVORITE. T-shirts are not all created equal, and though plain t-shirts are simple, this Northside Vintage Tee from Madewell looks much more stylish than cheaper tees. It’s thick, holds its shape, and drapes beautifully. Find it HERE. I wear size M. I recommend sizing up!
If you need an extra layer, top it off with a denim jacket like this one HERE!

Earrings: Amazon (exact—wearing 30mm)
Necklace: Nordstrom (exact; nearly identical—but way more affordable!)
2. Black Blouse + Olive Wide Leg Pants
You could also dress it up a tad and go for a blouse instead of a t-shirt! This top is comfy and stretchy, and super affordable. The details at the sleeves make it cute, even if the rest of it is simple!
I added loafers to the look to give it a little dimension, though simple black flats would be fine as well. These loafers are pretty comfortable. I especially like the simple sole that offers a bit of lift but isn’t too chunky. I also like the tan strip in the middle for dimension. Find them HERE. I wear size 9.

3. Striped Tee + Olive Wide Leg Pants
Swap a plain black tee with a striped tee instead! If you need a go-to idea for how to wear olive green wide leg pants, this is one of my favorites! The print adds interest to your outfit automatically, so you can add style and details with the same amount of effort as wearing a plain tee.
I love this striped tee, which is currently available HERE! I’m wearing size S.
The denim jacket I’m wearing is thick and sturdy but also very stretchy. Really affordable too — especially during one of Kohl’s frequent sales! Find it in 2 washes HERE. I’m wearing size S.

4. White Blouse + Olive Wide Leg Pants
You can also dress up olive wide leg pants with a white flowy blouse for a simple but polished outfit! Top it off with flats and a denim jacket, and you can wear it to your casual work setting or out to lunch.
This blouse is so versatile and can be paired with almost anything. I love that it’s flowy, so you get the details of a collar and buttoned shirt without the stiffness or stuffiness. Find it in 10 colors, HERE. I wear size S.

Pants: Old Navy (exact—wearing size 4)

5. Printed Top + Olive Wide Leg Pants
Olive is a pseudo-neutral, so it goes with quite a lot of different colors. Play around and see what you like!
This printed top is olive-based, so it coordinates well with olive wide leg pants. But, it also throws in some other colors to mix it up and keep it from looking completely matchy. This top is very lightweight and comfy — a great weight for mild spring days and for warm summer days. Find it in several prints, HERE. I wear size S.
For a topper, I added a white lightweight jacket to give the color scheme a little “lift.” The white jacket I’m wearing is very, very lightweight and easy to wear. Find it HERE. I’m wearing size S, which is quite roomy as this runs large.
You could also add a medium wash denim jacket for more dimension and contrast. As you can see, the denim jacket is a perfect topper and makes figuring out how to wear olive green wide leg pants easy!

6. Pink Top + Olive Wide Leg Pants
If you’re looking for a color to pair with olive, try pink! It complements and pops against olive green nicely. This pink top is out of stock, but there are other colors available HERE. It’s stretchy and comfortable! It’s the same top that I’m wearing in black in outfit #2. I wear it in size S. There’s also a similar one HERE available in lots of colors. Size up in this one; I wear size M.
