Neutral Basics

I can’t remember where I saw it–Pinterest, Go Chic or Go Home or what not–but it was an outfit of all neutral basics with tan accessories. I LOVED IT. I immediately went to my GCOGH ensembles creator and recreated the outfit to wear later. And here we are. Ta-da!

Can someone tell me why neutral outfits with basics are the hardest for me to think of? You would think they’d be no-brainers because duh, put your neutrals together since they go with everything. But no, I NEVER think of that. Whenever I see an all neutral outfit done well my mind is blown. BLOWN, I say. For some reason I’m always making things more complicated than I need to, and who has time for that? Ooooh, yes, take that and apply it as a metaphor for life. You’re welcome. So, here’s to delighting in the simple things!
