If boots and ankle boots are on your fall shopping list, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is THE time to get them. Quality shoes are important, and you can get them for MUCH less during the Nordstrom sale.
Sneakers and boots in popular colors are at high risk to sell out this year, and while a few of my faves have sold out already, I’m happy to say there is much more in stock this year. And there are a LOT of GOOD shoes this year.
The sale ends Sunday, August 9th, so if you see a pair you love, don’t wait on it!
I’ve rounded up my favorites from the 2026 sale below, including pairs I’ve tried on with fit notes and pairs I’m recommending based on brand experience and style. Let’s get into it!
SIZING: I’m 5’6″ and usually S/M or 6 in clothes and 8.5 to 9 in shoes.
The Best Shoes & Boots from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2026
Here’s what’s worth grabbing this year, organized by style so you can go straight to what you need!
Boots & Ankle Boots
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale boots are the star of the show every year. And of course — you can get new fall styles at a discount before the season even starts!
A few things to look for in Nordstrom Anniversary Sale boots: soft leather or faux leather that will hold up over multiple seasons, a heel height you can actually walk in all day, and a versatile style that works with all different cuts of jeans, from skinny to wide. These are investment pieces, so you want them to work HARD in your wardrobe.
Blondo Alida Waterproof Bootie – size 9
My favorites from last year, on sale again this year! They go with everything from elevated casual to work and dressy. And waterproof! As with ALL Blondo shoes, I prefer to put my own insole in these for more cushion.
The toe is a rounded square, giving you polish without being super sharp or ultra-dressy. The heel height is easy to walk in, too. This year, they added taupe and a rich chocolate brown, along with last year’s black and tan!
I got asked about these through out all last year, and it pained me to keep linking them to you at full price. GET THEM WHILE THEY’RE ON SALE, PLEASE! 🙏🏼
Blondo Nicolette Waterproof Bootie – size 9
Similar to the Alida ones above but with a more slender heel — also 0.25″ higher. While I do feel the heel height difference, this pair is very pretty. And waterproof!
Blondo Marina Stretch Suede Waterproof Boot
The pair my co-stylist, Courtney, bought this year. Sturdy block heel. Slim shaft to fit under every style of pants. Good option! Again, as with all Blondos, it’s best if you wear it with your own insole.
Vince Camuto Boots — wearing size 9
LOVE this pair! Soft upper. Cushioned footbed. Pointed toe that automatically makes every outfit more polished. And a low heel that you can easily walk in! The only thing is it’s not waterproof like the Blondos.
Unfortunately this taupe color is in low stock 😭, but a snakeskin textured pair in dark brown is still available, and it’s beautiful!
Nine West Black Pointed Toe Block Heel Bootie — wearing size 9
This one is WAY overlooked, IMHO. Similar style to the Vince Camuto boots above, in case you want black suede. Soft upper, a bit of cushion in the footbed, and sturdy, low stack heel. Great pair of boots! The pointed toe will polish any and every outfit, from casual to work to special occasion. The only thing is it’s not waterproof like the Blondos.
Nordstrom Banks Tall Boot – size 9
GORGEOUS! Very pretty and a good modern update for tall boots. They create a slim line on your leg, but you can also slouch them a bit if you want to. Definitely gotta check them out if you need to refresh your tall boots! Available in tan, chocolate brown, and taupe. Honestly hard to choose a color!
Blondo Alexis Waterproof Knee High Boot – size 9
These are also good but, again, need an insole for more cushion. Biggest upside though, they’re waterproof! The shaft is a tad higher on this, covering the bottom of my kneecap. These have a rounded toe compared to the Banks boots above, giving a more casual and more toned down vibe. But still stylish.
Sneakers
A good sneaker is one of the most-worn things in your closet, and the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is a great time to update yours!
I look for styles that are comfortable enough for all-day wear but put-together enough to wear with jeans and a blazer or a dress, not just athleisure. For that, you want ones with a sleek profile and preferably with a low vamp (how high it comes up on the ankle) for the most streamlined, versatile look.
Dolce Vita Merit Perforated Sneaker – size 9
So comfortable!!! The texture is super popular this season. The upper feels good and the footbed is cushioned. 🙌 I wasn’t planning on buying lifestyle sneakers during this sale, but I saw them in store and couldn’t NOT get them. That’s how great they look and how comfortable they are!
Adidas Gazelle
I didn’t try these on but have tried on another colorway. Cushy and comfy!
Flats
Here are some options that will help you create nice casual outfits and work looks.
Steve Madden Lela Perforated Mary Jane Flat – size 9
LOVE these! The footbed is really cushy and comfortable and the upper is soft. Several colors. I also really like how the tan isn’t super red.
Dolce Vita Mycah Wovan Flat – size 9
Super pretty! This woven detail is so popular and gives outfits more interest. Available in several colorways.
Nine West Flat — I wear size 9
Underrated!!! This style is a WARDROBE ESSENTIAL because it goes with everything. EVERYTHING. The silhouette is so versatile. The pointed toe adds polish, BUT, this toe box in particular is not super elongated or sharp. If you like the polish of pointed toes but are always worried about things being too pointy, this one is PERFECT.
Plus, it’s comfortable and feels sturdy and has a little cushion in the footbed. Seriously underrated and SO WORTH IT on sale!
Tips for Buying Shoes During the NSale
Order two sizes if you’re unsure. Shoe sizing varies by brand and style, and Nordstrom offers free return shipping, which makes it completely risk-free to order your usual size and a half size up. So much better than missing out because you waited!
Look for water-resistant boots. I LOVE having a bunch of shoes that I don’t have to change out of when it’s wet outside. It means you don’t have to change (and potentially ruin your outfit) when the weather is different than you expected.
Go for versatile styles over trendy ones. The NSale is a great time to invest in shoes you’ll wear for multiple seasons, not the most fashion-forward pair that might feel dated in a year. Stick with the classics. If you have those covered already, then of course have fun with new styles at pre-season discounts!
