Ways to Wear a Striped Dress

A striped dress has become a staple in my closet, and from what I hear from you all, it seems to be a staple for many of you as well!  Today we are back in the remixing game with 3 ways to wear a striped dress!

First is casual.  I used to never wear sneakers with dresses.  One, because I didn’t know you were “allowed” to, and two, because I didn’t own sleek enough sneakers.  Recently my friend picked up a pair of sneakers (kind of like TOMS or Keds) that she loved and thought were so cute, but she didn’t know what to them with.  She was changing into a dress to head off to church that night, so I told her to wear her sneakers with the dress.  Now she does it all the time!

I also love pairing a dress with wedges for a slightly dressier casual look.  If I needed an extra layer, I could have either gone with a denim jacket or a colorful cardigan.

Lastly, add a statement necklace and a leather jacket!  I saw this look on Merrick a while back (HERE) and loved how it gave an edge to the striped dress staple.
