Over the last year my style has become increasingly casual. Whereas booties and flats used to be my go-tos, sneakers have now taken precedent. Of course I still love a good pair of flats and booties, but on a daily basis, when most of the time I’m running out for kindergarten and daycare pickup or running errands with kids, sneakers are where it’s at.
Today I’m sharing a few pairs of sneakers that have been my go-tos lately. These four styles have given me plenty of variety. If you need some options for your casual style, try some of these versatile options!
SIZING: I’m 5’6″ and usually S/M or 6 in clothes, 8.5 to 9 in shoes.
White (or Black) Sneakers
A pair of neutral sneakers is a must, and my go-to choice is white. Yours may be black or something else, and that totally works too.
I’ve been wearing white slip-on sneakers for years. I choose white because I tend to wear lighter colors in the spring too, and I love how white sneakers go with them as well as keep my outfits brighter. They work with pretty much everything, and I also love to bookend them with my white Nickel & Suede earrings. (BTW you can read all about Nickel & Suede earrings, along with my other must-have accessories HERE.)

There are several styles of white sneakers you could try. I wear low profile slip-ons, but Converse, TOMs or Adidas sneakers also work well. I’ve included a roundup of different types of white sneakers you can shop through the widget below:
Taupe Sneakers
I bought these taupe wedge sneakers during last year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and I’ve been loving them since! They also inspired me to buy the taupe waterproof wedge sneakers with the fuzzy lining during winter. I’ve been living in the fuzzy ones this winter since they’re warm (thank you, fuzzy lining!) and waterproof! I’ll continue to wear them on chillier and wet days. When the weather warms up a bit, I’ll switch back to the first pair that doesn’t have the fuzzy lining.
Anyway, I like taupe sneakers when white seems a little too stark, or when I just want to soften the look a little more. Regular flat taupe sneakers like THESE work, but I really like the wedge. I’ve noticed the wedge adds a little more style and personality to outfits, but not in an outrageous way.
The pair of wedge sneakers I bought during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale isn’t available anymore. I fell in love with the pair I own because of the lower shaft–doesn’t come up on my feet as high, which creates a more streamlined and longer leg line. However, there’s an updated version by the same brand that looks super similar HERE!

Leopard Print Sneakers
I’ve been looking for a pair of leopard print sneakers for a WHILE. But either they were too orange for my taste, not comfortable, or not available in my size.
This particular pair is from Rothy’s (HERE), and if you’re wondering if they’re worth the money or how comfy they are, read my really detailed review of them HERE. (Scroll down to the very bottom of that post.) I’m now a month removed since writing that review and have worn these quite a bit since. I’ve gotta say, while at first I found the footbed comfy but was not “wowed” by them, after having worn them a lot, I do appreciate that they never lose their cushion. Some soles get matted down and feel hard after a few hours, but these don’t. That’s a huge plus.
Anyway, the point is leopard print sneakers! Doesn’t have to be this exact pair. 😊
Leopard print sneakers have made all my outfits so much cuter. When I have on a solid sweatshirt or sweatshirt and jeans, I can throw on my Nickel & Suede leopard print earrings and finish off the look with leopard print sneakers. Instant style, my friends! I LOVE having leopard print sneakers!

Pink Blush Sneakers
I usually opt for slip-on sneakers versus athletic sneakers. But, sometimes I’ll do lace up sneakers with sportier athleisure looks. I’ve talked a lot about my Nike Tanjuns, and most often I wear the black ones. However, in the spring, the blush pair works so well with my color palette!
I looove Nike Tanjuns. They’re very lightweight and SUPER comfy with a memory foam footbed. And I’ve found the toe to be a little sleeker looking than some other Nikes, which kind of made my feet look like duck feet from the top. No one looks at that view except for me, but since it’s the view I see the most often, I appreciate the sleeker toe. 😜. Anyway, I own these in black, blush pink, and grey. See all the colors HERE.
