Gifts for Tweens Who Love Highlighters, Pens, Stationery, and More

If you know a tween who’s obsessed with pens, highlighters, pencil cases, and all things stationery, I’m excited you’re here! Today’s post is all about stationery gifts for tweens, including some of my daughter’s and her friends’ favorite products.

My 11 year old, her friends, and lots of kids at her school are deep into it all. They have been since they were younger, and it’s only grown as they’ve gotten older. Kids at her middle school love to go through each other’s pencil pouches to see all of the cool stationery they own! (I used to do the same!)

So, here are some stationery gifts for tweens who love a pretty set of highlighters and cool erasable pens — tween approved. 😊

Cute Stationery Gifts That Tweens Love

Highlighters
The prized highlighters, always coveted by my daughter and her tween friends. My daughter appreciates the HUGE variety of colors and that they are true to the cap colors. She says they don’t smudge too much if you press too hard, while “others have too much ink coming out and it just creates a blob.” 😆

Erasable Highlighters
While the Mildliner highlighters above probably make the top of the list of stationery gifts for tweens, they also love these erasable highlighters. It’s hard not to! It’s so satisfying to be able to erase when you highlighted the wrong thing. Plus, they love the pastel colors here.

Erasable Gel Pens
This set of erasable pens goes hand in hand with the erasable highlighters!

InkJoy Gel Pens
While an erasable pen is preferred, she also likes these because of the variety of colors.

Flair Pens
Who doesn’t love these? I would have been ecstatic to get a large set of these as a tween — and would be even now as an adult!

Ballpoint Pens
I randomly bought these for her because the reviews were so high, and she LOVES them! They have a soft grip, and the ballpoint writes smoothly. Note that the ink is only black, not colored, so she uses these for daily writing.

No Smudge Gel Pens
I shared these recently, and they’re a hit! These seriously do not smudge! Especially great for a left-handed person who tends to smear what they just wrote. IYKYK. These come in several designs.

That said, my tween daughter doesn’t want to use them because she wants something even thinner than the .05mm tip. Oh well, still a great pen!

Axolotl Squishy
It’s not stationery, but the tweens who love stationery also tend to love squishies, and these are adorable!

Desk Organizers (Drawers)
This might not seem like an exciting gift for a tween, but if your kid is into stationery, they probably love when all those pens are displayed beautifully, too! My daughter is always asking for organizers for her stationery and knick knacks. She doesn’t want to spend her own money on them — and good ones are quite pricey, especially for a tween. So she asks for them as gifts!

Drawer Organizers
We own these, and my kids and I love them. There’s a variety of sizes that all fit together so that you can make your perfect configuration. I use them for my makeup drawer while my kids use them for their stationery and collections.

Rotating Caddy
For all of their pretty pens!!

Boba Pencil Case
This is soooo cute and cool — it’s regularly full length, and then you can pull the top down (as shown on the left) so that it stands up and serves as a pencil cup for you. My daughter says a lot of kids at school have these. They come in a ton of designs, but of course I love the boba one. 😊🧋

Pencil Case
This holds sooo much and comes in several colors.

Capybara Pencil Case
My daughter said a lot of kids also have this pencil pouch. It’s really big and comes in different designs. But of course, the capybara is popular right now!

Eraser w/ Clean-Up Roller
Did you have these when you were younger? I thought these erasers with the roller cleanup were so cool! My daughter and her friends were more into these when they were in 5th grade and younger, but I’m putting them here anyway — they still appreciate them. They just don’t COVET them like they used to.

The Best Erasers
The erasers the tweens actually want? These of course! They’re my favorite too. Simply the best.

Notebook
I recently got this notebook, and wow, I really, really like it! My middle daughter does, too. It’s a blank sketchbook style notebook. The pages are more white than yellow, which is what I really like about it. I use it for notes while my kids use it for both notes and sketching.

Hand Sanitizer
I’ve mentioned many times that my daughter is obsessed with these. This hand sanitizer smells soooo good, and it doesn’t sting your hands!

LEGO Creator Set
My daughter wanted this set for her birthday and now displays it along with all of her stationery. Her desk looks so cute!

LEGO Creative Food Set
This is an additional set that your tween can display on their desk. So cute!

All three of our kids really like this fan. It’s cute with a sleek design, has three speeds, has a flashlight, and can be adjusted to stand on its own so you can prop it on your desk and be handsfree. Available in several colors. The blades are open, so if you want a closed blade fan, check below.

Handheld Fan
This is so cool, not only because the blades are enclosed, but because you can adjust the head to stand up on its own AND to hold it around your neck and blow up at you! You can walk around handsfree while this keeps you cool!!

Cute Mini Backpack
This is just way too cute!!

Neoprene Mini Backpack $15
Another adorable option that’s really affordable, has great reviews, and comes in several colors.
