I’m sharing denim from several different brands today, but my go-to brand is Wit & Wisdom. I’ve been wearing Wit & Wisdom jeans for years, and I know many others in the PMT community love them as well. While every style is a little different, generally speaking, Wit & Wisdom’s jeans are VERY COMFORTABLE. The denim is soft and stretchy. And most importantly they have elastic sewn into the waistband, meaning you get a STRETCHY WAISTBAND so you can sit, move, and eat(!) more comfortably all day. They don’t sag out or lose shape throughout the day either. You can see all their styles HERE, but I’ll also highlight my favorites below!
All right, let’s talk which styles of jeans to wear this fall!
SIZING: I’m 5’6” and usually S/M or 6 in clothes and 8.5 to 9 in shoes.
1. Wide Leg Jeans
As you know, wide leg jeans are everywhere right now, and this pair is SO, SO COMFORTABLE! It’s BUTTERY SOFT, super stretchy, lightweight, and it doesn’t lose shape and get saggy throughout the day. Well worth it! Check them out HERE. I wear size 4.
I know a lot of you might think you can’t pull off wide leg jeans, but I’d like to bust that myth. I’ve styled lots of women, and to their surprise, almost everyone can pull off this style — but you have to find the pair that’s right for you and fits you perfectly. Namely, if you have curvier hips and you worry about wide leg pants adding too much bulk, look for a pair that hugs the booty and hips well and then falls straight down from under your hips — not one that is loose around the bum and goes outward from the hips. Also make sure they have a higher rise to make them look more modern! The high rise also helps elongate your leg line to counter the width that wide leg cuts add.
If the pair of jeans I’m wearing above isn’t right for you, another good option is THESE jeans by Hidden. They aren’t as buttery soft, but they’re still great! Stretchy but thick and sturdy, so they’re comfortable and allow you to move but you also feel secure and held in by them. Find them HERE.
This pink plaid shirt is super soft, and while the pink is currently sold out, you can get the same shirt in several other colors HERE. I wear it in size S.
I own these sneakers in several colorways and love them! They make all your casual outfits look more modern, and they’re comfortable! Find all the colorways HERE. I wear size 8.5.

2. Bootcut Jeans
Bootcut jeans are great for timeless, polished, and classic outfits. This pair of bootcut jeans has been a PMT community favorite for nearly a decade!! (Seriously, isn’t that crazy???) They are stretchy, easy to move around in, and comfortable, and they also have the elastic strip in the waistband for all-day comfort. I wear these in size 8 to accommodate for fuller thighs, but most PMTers said they’ve stayed TTS, which for me would be size 6.

3. Flares and Kick Flares
Flares are really popular right now, including both kick flares and full length flares. While flares and bootcuts are pretty similar, there are some small differences worth noting. Compared to a traditional bootcut, flares are generally even wider at the bottom, making them easier to wear with sneakers. Also, the more exaggerated bottom makes more of a statement. They add more curve and movement to an outfit, which can add more playfulness, more flair (😆), and in some cases have a more dramatic effect than bootcuts. I personally prefer flares over bootcuts because I like to have little more playfulness and movement in my outfits.
This pair of full length flares is REALLY comfortable! The denim is really stretchy, plus the waistband is stretchy thanks to elastic sewn in, allowing you to move around comfortably all day!
This style is great for nearly all body types as the flare at the bottom balances out anything wider above it, including if you have wider hips, a wider midsection, or wider shoulders compared to the rest of your body.
You can wear these flares in a casual outfit, like with a t-shirt and sneakers, or dress them up with a nicer top, like I’m doing here.
This is such a cute fall top, BTW! I live in a warmer climate, so it’s nice to have a short sleeve option in softer fall colors. Find it HERE. I’m wearing size S.

4. Slim Straight Jeans
If you like a more classic and timeless look, go for a slim pair of straight leg jeans! The straight lines look really clean and polished.
This pair is also by Wit & Wisdom, which means they also have the stretchy waistband. This cut makes outfits look more tailored and classic. Find them HERE. I’m wearing size 6.
This sweater was in my recent roundup of 40 tops that you don’t need to tuck, and it’s a good one!! It’s relaxed, unfussy, and easy to wear. It’s really soft and cozy but lightweight, so it doesn’t weigh you don’t or feel heavy. It comes in 34 colors, HERE! I wear size S.

5. Girlfriend Jeans
If you’d like a more relaxed look, girlfriend jeans are great! This pair is fitted and hugs the hips and bum, which prevents you from looking shapeless or sloppy. Great fit, especially if you have curvier hips!
This is one of the few pairs of Wit & Wisdom jeans that is a bit stiffer and loosens up throughout the day. I would order a size down if you want girlfriend jeans to be more fitted like they are on me here. Otherwise I’d go true to size for a more relaxed and typical (i.e. sliiightly baggy) girlfriend jean fit. I’m wearing size 4 for the fitted look.
