SIZING: I’m 5’6″ and usually S/M or 6 in clothes and 8.5 to 9 in shoes.

Casual Spring Outfit Ideas to Copy

1. Striped Tee + Jeans + Colored Blazer + Colored Sneakers
Stripes are SO IN this season. (Yes, more than they usually are!) You know what else is in? Colored sneakers! Take your tried and true striped tee + jeans base and add a modern twist to it with colored sneakers. Choose any color that piques your interest. I went with red!

If you need a layer, go simple with a neutral one, like a cream jacket. Or, add even more zest with a colored blazer! Tip: Bookend your outfit by matching your blazer with the color of your shoes. Fun!

I’ve been searching for colored sneakers, and while there are some GREAT options out there, this pair looks like the winner for me. Mostly because you can slip them on and off no tying shoelaces required! Plus, they’re comfy. You can find them in several colors HERE. I’m wearing size 9. Other good options for red sneakers are THIS pair from Kohl’s and THIS pair from Target. If you want even more colored sneaker options, they’re in the bonus shopping guide that comes with the Spring Wardrobe & Outfit Guide, so check there if you’ve grabbed the guide. Soooo many cute options. 😍

2. Vertical Striped Button Up + White or Ecru Pants + Metallic Flats
This style of top is everywhere this season, in bolder or subtler stripes, in more casual and dressier options, in short and long sleeves. The good news? It’s pretty timeless, so even though it’s popular in stores right now you’ll be able to wear it for a while. (The shirt I’m wearing is from last year.)

If this style isn’t for you, you can sub in any neutral printed top. The most seamless swap would be a blue or grey based shirt with a white print, like a navy top with white polka dots, a grey and white striped tee, or a navy based floral print top.

3. Neutral Top With Details + Dark Wash Wide Leg Jeans
Want to know a way to elevate your style? Neutral, solid pieces with special details! Instead of completely plain tops, go for items with special details, like flutter sleeves, buttons, collars, interesting sleeves, or interesting textures. These special details add visual interest and style without having to dress in a way that’s fussy or show-stopping.

This is one of the easiest casual spring outfit ideas to copy because you can literally use any neutral top. The top I’m wearing is similar to the one in the graphic. I got it a couple of years ago, and it has been a piece that’s easy to reach for and throw on to look pulled together in a pinch! The top in the graphic is great for elevated casual outfits nicer than a tee, but not as dressy as a blouse. Find it HERE.

The jeans I’m wearing are so, soooo comfortable. Of course, they’re Wit & Wisdom, which is still my favorite brand of denim. This pair is SO SOFT and super STRETCHY. Plus, the waistband has elastic in it, making it extra comfy! You can find this pair HERE. I’m wearing size 6, but if you have a straighter figure rather than a curvier figure, I think you could size down one and be good.

Another option for dark wash wide leg jeans that are pretty affordable is this pair from Old Navy. They don’t have a stretchy waistband, but they’re decently soft and flexible and easy to wear. Plus, the price is good!
