Neutrals. Is it weird that an outfit of ALL neutrals kinda terrifies me? Fear of boring. Don’t get me wrong, I *love* them on other people, but when I put one on I get a little scared. I’d rather rely on a pop of color, a little print, or a statement necklace to trick you into thinking I’ve got an ounce of style. But without those, what’s a girl to do? One thing I’ve learned from Stacy and Clinton: textures! Play with textures. I traded the usual colored flats, splash of print, or statement necklace for textures like faux leather, suede booties, or some texturing on the sweater. I actually didn’t even realize this outfit was all neutrals until after the fact, thanks to all that. Are you more scared of an outfit of all neutrals or one with a lot of color?
