Have you guys seen these pre-knotted twist tees? I’m pretty obsessed and have them in white, black, and olive because they’re AMAZING! I showed the white oneon Facebook and Instagram about 2.5 months ago HEREand have gotten so many questions about them. Today I’m excited to partner with Nordstrom to tell you why these twist tees are so awesome and show you three ways to wear them!
Essentially this is really just a plain cotton t-shirt, except the twist detail totally makes it special. If you looooove wearing t-shirts but want to take your style up a notch, look for t-shirts with special details. Whether that’s a t-shirt with peplum, lace, heathering, a great drape, or a cute twist detail like this, you will get the ease and comfort of wearing a t-shirt but look more pulled together every time because of those details. On a practical note, another reason I LOVE these twist tees is because typically with t-shirts I like to tuck or knot them as I feel like that adds more finish to an outfit. The twist on these tees provides that same function for you and makes a plain tee look finished! See them HERE.
SIZING
I’m 5’6″ and normally size S/M or 6/8. I get these in XS! Well, actually, I got the white one in S over two months ago but it fits very loosely. Just two weeks ago I was in store and tried the XS and like that fit way better, so I’m re-ordering the white one in XS.
WASHING
I’ve machine washed and machine washed the white one several times trying to get to shrink, and it does not shrink.
IS IT SEE-THROUGH?
The black and olive ones are not see-through for me. The white is a tiny bit see-through in the sun, but I would still feel okay not wearing a camisole underneath.
Now that we’ve got all that stuff out of the way, here are three ways you can wear these tees!
Everyday Casual Outfit
“Everyday Casual” is my term for casual days when I’m around adults (i.e. not primarily chasing around a toddler), like at my casual workplace, out to lunch or boba with a friend, or at church. Finished off with a statement necklace and flats, this tee is perfect for that! It’s perfectly casual but still pulled together. And it’s SO effortless to wear! I wore this outfit 3 times in the last few days! 😀
Weekend or Toddler Chasing Outfit
When I’m with my daughter, I’d throw on some super comfy sleek sneakers! I piled on the accessories here, but it’d also work with just one of them.
Many of you have asked me for low profile white sneaker options, and I’m excited to have found these! I’ll talk about them again next week, but they are comfffffyyyy and have a quilted texture which is fantastic. With white sneakers I always prefer them to have a bit of texture. I’m normally size 8.5 to 9 and kept these in 8.5. (My current white sneakers were very cheap and are finally starting to crack since they’re pleather, haha. These quilted ones are leather and should last much longer.)
Lastly, dressing up a tee is so easy with the right accessories. A metallic statement necklace with faux leather wedges add shine and texture, and a leopard clutch adds pattern, all contributing to elevating a plain t-shirt + jeans combo.
Like I said, I’m pretty obsessed with them! They come in 6 colors, which can be seen HERE. I’m HEAVILY contemplating the brand new pink one, but trying to contain myself a little. Given that I have 3/6 of the colors, I might be failing at containing myself. But these tees are so great that I ain’t sad about it! 😛
Which color would you get?
Huge thanks to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post!
