Winter Work Capsule Wardrobe – 29 Pieces to 66 Outfits!

Does your work wardrobe need an update? I’m sharing this season’s winter work capsule wardrobe from the Winter Wardrobe & Outfit Guide to help you out! (If you’re looking for casual wardrobe inspiration, I shared the casual winter capsule wardrobe last week, HERE.)

I said this in the casual winter wardrobe post, but it’s important to say again: I love planning my wardrobe each season because it causes me to focus on what I already have and what gaps I actually have. It makes me more intentional about what I buy, helps me create a wardrobe that serves me better, and allows me to get dressed more easily.

It’s a template for you to start with that you can adjust according to your preferences. You can swap pieces for different colors and prints. You can include more t-shirts or more colored sweaters. You can totally omit printed pieces. It’s really up to you!

Easy Stylish Winter Work Outfits to Copy

For outfit ideas, here are three easy winter work outfits for you to copy straight from the guide!

black turtleneck + gray plaid pants + black kitten heel boots + gold necklace + gold earringsblack sweater + printed pants + black boots + black mary jane flats1. Neutral Sweater + Printed Pants + Dressy Boots
I tried these pants simply to review them, as I don’t need work clothes. BUT, I love them a lot and think I can wear them in casual outfits with lifestyle sneakers! Anyhow, I really like how they instantly amp up your basic tops into a stylish outfit. These pants are thick, comfortable, and have a bit of elastic in the back of the waistband. They come in straight, petite, plus, and tall sizes, HERE. I’m wearing size S.

This turtleneck is a great elevated basic, thanks to its ribbed texture and neckline. It’s super affordable and comes in a straight, petite, plus, and tall sizes, HERE.

I highly recommend finishing off the outfit with sleek, pointed or square toe boots. The elongated toe box extends your leg line, helping your feet to not get swallowed up in wide leg pants and adding that sharpness and polish to your outfit — so important for work looks!

Shop the Outfit:
Top: Old Navy (exact—wearing size M)
Pants: Old Navy (exact—wearing size S)
Boots: Gap (similar, similar)
Earrings: Amazon (exact—wearing 30mm)
Necklace: Nordstrom (exactnearly identical—but way more affordable!)

2. Striped Button Up + Black Pants + Dressy Boots
You can wear any type of button up or printed shirt, really. But if you’re looking for additional options for work tops, this shirt is a nice one. It has a satiny finish that softens it up from your typical stiff button up. Find it in straight and plus sizes, HERE. I’m wearing size S.

For bottoms, the outfit prompt shows straight leg faux-leather pants, which you can seamlessly swap for regular black pants instead. I chose black bistretch flare pants, which you can find HERE. I’m wearing size 6.

Again, finish it off with dressy boots.

3. White Top + Colored Pants
These are two work staples that work over and over again each season. Both the top and pants that I’m wearing here are several years old, but because they’re wardrobe staples, there are plenty of options for pieces like these every season.

A white blouse goes with everything, including jeans for nice casual outfits and work pants of all sorts. If white isn’t your thing, cream works equally as well! The one in the collage above is even prettier on the product site, which you can find HERE in both straight and petite sizes.

There you go! Three easy and stylish winter work outfits you can copy to look sharp and polished this season.

Also, because it’s a 2-in-1 work + casual guide, the Outfit Calendar provides both casual and workwear outfits together. This is really helpful if you go into the office just two or three days of the week and work from home the other days as it allows you to fluidly switch between casual and work outfits throughout the week.
