This week in the PMT Style Club, we kicked off 4 Weeks of Style — getting dressed each day using outfit prompts from the Summer Wardrobe & Outfit Guide. It’s a great way to utilize your summer capsule wardrobe, add variety to your looks, stay out of a rut, and rediscover pieces you already own. Today I’m sharing my 5 summer work from home outfits for this week based on the prompts from the Summer Wardrobe & Outfit Guide!
We’re using the outfit prompts as an anchoring point. Sometimes we follow them closely, sometimes we put our own spin on them, and sometimes we simply let something about the outfit, big or small, inspire our outfits.
Since I work from home and am spending my summer chauffeuring my kids around to summer camps and sports, I always make sure my outfits are really comfortable and make me feel pulled together without a lot of fuss.
Read on for my summer work from home outfits you can copy to look great this season!
SIZING: I’m 5’6″ and usually S/M or 6 in clothes and 8.5 to 9 in shoes.
My Summer Work From Home Outfits

Here’s a look at Week 1 of the Outfit Calendar in the Summer Wardrobe & Outfit Guide. I’ll share below what I ended up wearing!

Monday’s Outfit
For Monday, I worked from home, did summer camp and daycare drop-off and pickups, and had an appointment. This outfit might feel a bit too dressed up for some, but I freaking loved it!
These pants are ones I mentioned in My Favorite Comfortable Pants and Jeans. They’re in my top two picks for summer pants. They are silky smooth, lightweight, and SO BREATHABLE. While it was only 80 degrees the day I wore this outfit, I know that if I’m hitting a 100 degree day and want to feel cool, I’m reaching for these pants. No question. Plus, the elastic waistband makes them ULTRA comfortable. They have a satiny finish which makes them seem kinda dressy, but they FEEL like pajamas. 🙌🏽 You can find them in 8 colorways in straight sizes HERE. I wear size S.
Heads up: The Flax colorway is a different fabric. It’s not satiny, rather it feels like linen.
If you need more casual summer work from home outfits, you can dress this outfit down with a basic tank top or t-shirt. Instead, I opted for a gauzy top like this one HERE. It’s that PERFECT sweet spot of nicer than a t-shirt but not as dressy as a blouse.
I topped it off by bookending my outfit with tan sandals and tan earrings. Gotta love navy, white, and tan!

Tuesday’s Outfit
Forget working from home — this outfit is my work from CAR outfit! 😆
On Tuesday I worked in my car for 4 hours while my daughter was at volleyball camp. The camp was far enough from our house that I opted to work there instead of spending precious time driving back and forth.
The 67 degree day called for jeans instead of shorts. I chose my ultra-comfy KUT From the Kloth Meg Wide Leg Jeans that feel like butter and are incredibly stretchy and soft! Find them HERE. I sized down to 4. (These are also mentioned in My Favorite Comfortable Pants and Jeans, which you should totally check out for more of my recommendations!)
Then, for being cooped up in a car, I just went with a t-shirt. This one is old and no longer available, but you can find some other t-shirts in the widgets below.

Wednesday’s Outfit
Wednesday included another WFC (work from car) session and a Zoom meeting in the afternoon. I was going to use the prompt to push me to wear a skirt, but I decided that wouldn’t be comfortable in a car. 🥴
Instead, I went with the same pants from Monday in a different print. This print is from last summer and is no longer available, but there are four new prints this season!
For my top, I debated between the black version of the gauzy top that I wore on Monday or a t-shirt. My favorite Madewell Northside Vintage tee won. This thing drapes well and looks instantly stylish! Find it HERE. I’m wearing size M.
This is a great example of how summer work from home outfits can be super casual and REALLY comfortable AND look great!
BTW, some of the Style Club members didn’t have printed pants, so they flipped the prompt and wore a printed top instead. Love it!

Thursday’s Outfit
I’ll wear Thursday’s prompt on Friday and Friday’s prompt on Thursday. (More on that below!) Thursday entailed another day working from home and another Zoom meeting. My husband did the further volleyball camp shuttling this time so no WFC for me, though I totally could have in this comfy outfit!
This pair of pants is the second pair in my top two summer pants, which I also mentioned in My Favorite Comfortable Pants and Jeans. These are also suuuuuuper duper breathable and lightweight. And they’re smooth… as in NOT linen, with zero threat of itchiness.
They’re available in the colorway that’s in the outfit prompt picture at the top of the page, which is so pretty! I don’t own that color (yet, hehe…), so I chose a hot pink version that I got last summer. See all the current colors HERE. I wear size S.
While I love this color, I need an extra push, or two or three, to wear really bold colors like this. However, when I do wear it, I FEEL a bit bolder and more confident. I love doing these Style Weeks in the PMT Style Club to have that extra push to wear the things I don’t naturally wear!
Then I added a striped tank, similar to the prompt. My tank is from last summer and is no longer available, but there is a similar options HERE.

Friday’s Outfit
I’m writing this post before Friday, so this is what I’ve planned to wear — for now. I might change my mind!
This is totally not a work from home outfit because I’m mostly taking Friday off. Why? Because my youngest is graduating preschool! 🥲 AND, it’s his 5th birthday. Big stuff this week for the little guy!
I’m wearing this gauzy dress to celebrate his graduation and birthday with boba, popcorn chicken, and some new superhero LEGO sets. 🧋🦸🏻♂️ Shh, don’t tell him. 😉
A gauzy dress like this one is really lightweight and comfy, and it looks great! This one is no longer available, but there’s a very similar one HERE that I own in TWO colors and LOVE!

What I’ve Loved About This Week
When you’re working from home, especially in the summer, it can feel easy to mail it in or just muddle it through it. But, if I do that, I feel like I get swept away by the days. When I’m intentional with what I wear, I’m more intentional and present with my days.
We’re only a few days into the 4 Weeks of Style, but I’ve been so excited about it! I feel extra motivation to get dressed and look forward to it!
It also helps me wear things I otherwise forget about, giving me more use out of the clothes I own.
I also love that I don’t have to come up with outfits totally from scratch. That relieves so much decision-making and mental fatigue, which I really cannot overlook while trying to juggle all the things in the summer.
Wins all around!
