In the PMT Style Club, we have monthly challenges to help us try new things, stay out of ruts, and make better use of our wardrobes, so today I want to share my outfits from our January Style Week inside the PMT Style Club!
This challenge was based on a week of prompts from the Winter Wardrobe & Outfit Guide. If you have the guide, we used the prompts on page 57, Outfit Planner #2, the top week. Here are the prompts:

To give you some background, the Wardrobe & Outfit Guides have an Outfit Calendar with outfits fully planned for you, like this:

Additionally, the Guide has pages of fill-in-the-blank prompts like the ones we used for the January Style Week that help you work with your closet in different ways. While anyone can do the blank prompts by themselves, it’s especially fun to do the blank prompts in a group, like with the PMT Style Club. Doing it with a group gives you extra motivation to wear things you otherwise wouldn’t have worn. You also get way more ideas and inspiration when you see other people’s outfits. Plus, it’s just more fun! Here is what I did with the prompts!
SIZING: I’m 5’6″ and usually S/M or 6 in clothes and 8.5 to 9 in shoes.

Monday: A shirt or pants you like but often neglect
I love this prompt because it gets you wearing things beyond what you naturally reach for each day. There are plenty of things we all really like and want to wear, but if it’s not on our radar, we can easily get into wearing the same thing over and over.
I chose the super comfortable Wit & Wisdom wide leg jeans, and I freaking LOVE THEM. But, I wore them less as months got colder because they don’t work as effortlessly with my cozy sweatshirts and sweaters, which are the things I go to and naturally reach for when it’s cold. The challenge pushed me to take that extra step to focus on the jeans and find an outfit I can wear. I love how it turned out! The vest is cozy AND looks great with the jeans!
By the way, I’ve shared about this vest before, and it’s great! Lightweight but warm. It comes in several colorways, HERE. I’m wearing size S.

Tuesday: An item in a color you love
For this prompt we told Style Club members, “neutrals count, but if you want to get out of your comfort zone, push yourself to wear a color!” This day didn’t have to feel like a challenge or a push out of your comfort zone. Really, it’s just a prompt to plan your outfit around so you’re not starting completely from scratch, which is totally helpful!
I went with this purple sweater that I’ve had for a few years. I love it, but I also own it in red, and for whatever reason I often reach for the red over the purple. This isn’t a revolutionary outfit, but it’s comfortable, easy to wear, and totally fine for working from home every day. I did jump on a Zoom meeting this day, and I felt great in this color on camera. (I often wear colors from my color analysis results for Zoom now! It makes the choices easy, and I feel more confident if I look vibrant in that little square video.)
I’m wearing my $30 Lauren Conrad jeans, which are lightweight and comfortable. This super dark wash pair dresses up and down very easily. You can find them HERE. I’m wearing size 6.
I wore this outfit with sneakers because I wear sneakers basically every single day! I walk a few blocks to pick up my kids from school every day, so I’m often in sneakers. However, this outfit also looks great with boots, so I snapped a pic in case it’s helpful for any of you:

Wednesday: Copycat an outfit (from someone else, an influencer, Pinterest, or from the Winter Guide)
This day was SO FUN! The Facebook group is always poppin’, but it was especially 🔥 this day! Style Clubbers’ copycat outfits were so good!

I was inspired by the outfit above from my girl Merrick. If you’re not following her yet, you shouldddddd. She’s fantastic. I’m pretty sure she has recently shown almost the exact outfit that I’m actually wearing (I think we even own the same black/cream sweater), but it was actually her outfit above with the brown and black sweater that set it off for me.

Thursday: Any printed piece
I really, really like this shirt. The colors are great for me, and the print is fun. It’s made of a super soft, t-shirt like fabric. But because it’s still dressier than a t-shirt, I have to be pushed to wear it, haha. (All of you who work from home, I know you get it!) I was soooo glad for our Style Week to give me the motivation to wear it. The day lined up perfectly for this nicer casual top — I had two Zoom meetings and an appointment. But still, I honestly don’t think I would have reached for it were it not for the challenge with the Style Club!
This top is very limited in sizes, but you can check for it HERE. I’m wearing size S. As for my jeans, they’re the J.Crew Factory Stovepipe jeans that I’ve talked about many times before. They’re structured and look good but they’re really stretchy! Find them HERE. I wear size 27. Another good option that’s similar and has an even straighter line is these jeans from Quince. I wear size 28.

Friday: Your favorite sweater or sweatshirt
Muahaha! I definitely put this prompt in the Winter Guide thinking about myself. 😂 What would I want to wear on a Friday, my most laid back day of the week? My favorite sweater or sweatshirt, of course!
I had a hard time choosing! Over the last year and a half or so I’ve focused on adding cute sweatshirts. It’s been bit by bit as they can be hard to find sometimes, but now I have a handful that I love. I actually ended up wearing the sweater for most of the day and then quickly changed into my sweatshirt later on for something that was really, really low-key.
Unfortunately, my sweater and sweatshirt are not available anymore. But I can tell you about my green/white sneakers and my jeans! The green/white sneakers are the $20 pair that members in the Style Club really like. They’re pretty comfortable, especially for how cheap they are. I personally prefer to put my own shoe insert into them as I find the insole that it comes with them gets matted down and loses its cushion easily. These come in several colorways, HERE. I wear size 8.5
My jeans are from Quince, and they’re a great pair of straight leg jeans! They are sturdy and supportive but have stretch. The knees don’t get too baggy, even after several wears. I find most straight leg jeans do get wonky in the knees, but this pair isn’t as bad as others. These jeans come in three washes, HERE. I’m wearing size 28.
That’s it for my January Style Week recap that we did with members in the PMT Style Club! I love how our monthly Style Weeks get you out of wearing the same things over and over. I also love having my outfits planned for the week so I don’t have to think about what to wear in the morning!
