I have a really fun try-on for you today with pieces from Amazon, Ann Taylor, Old Navy, Spanx, and Good American. There are some really great finds in this batch that will give your spring style some pep! This haul includes a few trending pieces that are showing up everywhere right now, along with some really solid wardrobe workhorses that can mix and match with tons of things you probably already own.
Let’s get into it!
SIZING: I’m 5’6″ and usually S/M or 6 in clothes and 8.5 to 9 in shoes.
Ann Taylor

1. Cardigan
If you’re looking for workwear that has more oomph than a basic sweater but isn’t loud, this cardigan is a great option! It’s well made, and you can pair it with black slacks or elevate it with faux leather pants (HERE), like I’m doing in the first photo. You can also dress it down for a casual day in the office super easily with dark wash jeans as shown above. Plus, it’s 30% OFF! Find it HERE! I’m wearing size S.
My jeans are from Spanx, which I’ll share about below. These are the colorway Adriatic Blue in size Petite M.

2. Button Blouse
This blouse is so pretty!!! If you need a new white blouse for work or for going out, this has SUCH pretty details that look upscale and tailored without looking stuffy. You’ll feel so confident at work or at a nice dinner in it! And, it’s 30% off HERE! Wearing size S.
Spanx & Good American

3. Spanx Jeans
I’ve heard great things about Spanx jeans, and I finally tried some! (Wearing them with the white button blouse.) These jeans are so thick and supportive but have tons of stretch to keep you both polished and comfortable. These are a GREAT option if you like to look really polished, even in jeans. This trouser pair is especially great for looking dressy in jeans. I’m wearing the colorway Marina in size Petite M so that I could wear them with flats — I read reviews saying these run pretty long. Find them HERE.

4. Good American Leopard Print Barrel Leg Jeans
What a fun pair of jeans!!! First, the barrel leg shape is great on these! Plus, they’re super structured and thick, but really stretchy. The fabric is great and feels high quality. The leopard print is super fun and very trendy this season. Also, this leopard print is grey and black, as opposed to the typical warm-toned brown and black. So if you prefer a cool color palette, this is a great option! Find them HERE. I’m wearing size 6.

5. Short Sleeve Sweater
I shared this sweater in yellow during my last try-on post, too, in which I was wearing size S and told you I also liked XS. Above is the light olive green in size XS so you can see. It’s so soft and comfy! Find it in lots of colors HERE. Wearing XS in both here.
Here it is in red as well. Love it!!

6. Amazon Short Sleeve Sweater
Now, if the relaxed, slightly oversized look isn’t your thing, I also tried this fitted short sleeve sweater, and it’s great! It is definitely short, so if you have a longer waist, this will be pretty dang short on you. It’s 19″ – 22” long depending on the size. But it’s great to wear with skirts and voluminous bottoms, like wide legs. It doesn’t come in as many colorways as the relaxed fit one, but it’s a great option that looks super duper chic! Pair it with jeans, wide leg trousers, or skirts. Available HERE. Wearing size S.

7. Amazon Maxi Dress
Wow, this dress is a huge winner! It has so many details that make it look beautifully tailored and stylish. It fits so well (for me, at least, haha — fit is alway different for every person of course). And it’s lined and has POCKETS! Like, what more could you want?? It comes in 26 colors. I had such a hard time choosing between them all. I ended up keeping both navy (for days I want to be more subdued) and this beautiful green (for days I want to pop a bit more). 😊
Comes in TONS of great colors, HERE! Wearing size S.
One note is the fabric is thick with great structure and lining — but that means if you’re looking for a breezy dress to wear through summer, this might make you too warm.

8. Amazon Knee-Length Dress
This dress is more breathable than the previous one, with thin, smooth, breezy fabric. I love the details on this dress! Unfortunately, I find the sleeves just a TAD too pronounced for me. That’s definitely something a tailor can take care of — and I’d do that if I decide to keep it. Still to be determined, but it’s a great dress for sure! Comes in several colors, HERE. Wearing size S.

9. Amazon Printed Maxi Dress
This dress is a fun one, made of satiny-feeling fabric! These colors aren’t quite right for me, so I won’t be keeping it, but it does comes in such fun prints and colors for those of you who love this style. See them all HERE. Wearing size S.

Old Navy

10. Green Sweater
I’m digging this casual lightweight sweater! It’s a great length to wear with wide leg and barrel leg jeans. It does have dolman sleeves, which gives it a more relaxed and trendy look — not bad or good, just something to be aware of. It’s not super-duper thick, but it’s soft and a good weight for mild spring (but not warm) days. Find it in 6 colors HERE. I’m wearing size S.
These are the barrel leg jeans I’ve shared before. I REALLY appreciate how they keep their shape — many others I’ve tried don’t look very barrel-y, but these do. Only $27.49 right now HERE!

11. Short Sleeve Sweater
This short sleeve sweater is another one that’s really cute and very versatile. Pair it with jeans for a great everyday casual spring look, or pair it with trousers for work! Wearing size M since it’s fitted.

12. Old Navy Wide Leg Pixie Pants
Speaking of trousers, DANG, these pixie pants surprised me. They are even better than my straight leg pixie pants from many years ago — they’ve really stepped up over the last several years! These are really stretchy and comfortable but still have structure for a polished look. And so affordable! These come in straight, petite, plus, and tall sizing and 5 colorways. See them all HERE. Wearing size 6.
