4 Casual Fall Outfits for 2026
Here are 4 easy fall outfit ideas straight from the guide!
SIZING: I’m 5’6” and usually S/M or 6 in clothes and 8.5 to 9 in shoes.
1. White Tee + Green Cardigan + Medium Wash Jeans

This shade of green is pretty popular right now, and I LOVE it! (Thank goodness for my color analysis showing me which shade closest to this green is best for me. Didn’t have to overthink a thing. 🤩)
Since this outfit is built with basics like a white tee and medium wash jeans, you can use whatever color cardigan you love here, like cherry red, bright blue, or burgundy, all of which are also popular this season.
You can add a silk scarf, which is another fun trend that totally puts a twist on a basic white tee + jeans base! It’s such an easy way to make a basic outfit more interesting. But the outfit totally works without it, too!

Here are other versions of this outfit. The first is with the cardigan buttoned up all the way like a pullover, sans scarf. Having the white tee peek out from underneath not only allows you to remove the layer if it gets too hot, but it also adds some dimension to the outfit. Subtle but impactful detail!
The second is with this short sleeve sweater that I adore. It’ll be warm where I live for a lot of the fall, so I’ll live in short sleeve sweaters! I don’t love how this short sleeve sweater looks with barrel leg jeans, so I opted for wide leg jeans instead.
Shop the Outfits:
– Tee (wearing size S)
– Cardigan (wearing size S)
– Short Sleeve Sweater (wearing size S)
– Barrel Leg Jeans (wearing size 6)
– Wide Leg Jeans (wearing size 28)
– Shoes (wearing size 9)
– Mary Jane Flats
– Scarf (similar)
2. Burgundy Print Top + Dark Wash Jeans

Gotta love burgundy for fall! It’s on-trend this year… but, is it ever NOT in for fall? 😆 The good news is you can wear burgundy this year and keep wearing it for many fall seasons to come.
Pair it with dark wash jeans and you have a super simple everyday fall outfit.
I’m showing this outfit with a floral print long sleeve top instead of short sleeves. Remember, the outfit prompts give you a starting place, and you can modify them as needed. If you prefer something more casual, go for a printed t-shirt instead!
Shop the Outfit:
– Short Sleeve Top
– Long Sleeve Top (wearing size S)
– Sweater (wearing size S)
– Dark Wash Jeans (wearing size 28)
– Flats
– Necklace
– Earrings (wearing size 30mm)
3. Color Sweater + Washed Black Jeans

Washed black jeans are an easy way to switch things up when you’re tired of wearing blue jeans, and they look SO good with some of the fun colors that are popular right now!
I paired mine with a cobalt blue sweater. This blue is really popular right now, and I love how it pops against the washed black jeans!
You could also do this same outfit with cherry red, which is another really popular color right now. Or use whatever color you already own and love!
That’s the beauty of a simple formula like color sweater + washed black jeans. The formula works regardless of which color you choose. 😊
Shop the Outfit:
– Shirt (wearing size S)
– Sweater (wearing size S)
– Jeans (wearing size 28)
– Sneakers
– Boots
– Necklace
– Earrings (wearing size 30mm)
4. Black Top + Burgundy Pants

Here’s another way to wear burgundy this fall, this time on the bottom!
I love how easy this outfit is: black top + burgundy pants + black jacket. The burgundy makes it more interesting than an all-black outfit, but everything is still really easy to put together.
Now, admittedly, this look is still a bit dressy for me for a casual everyday look. So, here are some ways I’d dress it down further: wear burgundy jeans instead of these pants — instant casual outfit. Or, wear these pants but wear a t-shirt on top instead. Done. And instead of a blazer, go for a utility jacket or a cardigan.
And if burgundy pants aren’t your thing, you can still use the formula with another color you like. Colored pants + black top + black layer. Easy!
– Top (wearing size S)
– Pants (wearing size S)
– Jacket
– Flats (wearing size 9)
– Necklace
– Earrings (wearing size 30mm)
