Have you gotten into printed wraps? If you want a lightweight layer this summer, a printed wrap is a fun one to try. They add that extra oomph to basic solid tees and tanks, make outfits interesting, and can be found at pretty affordable prices. There are several ways to wear a printed wrap, so today I’m sharing three outfits with a printed wrap you can wear this summer!
Before we get to the outfits, I want to talk about the wrap I’m showing. I included a white-based printed wrap in the Summer Outfit Guide and loved it so much that I got the navy version too. I had a hard time getting into wraps before finding this one. I usually felt they had WAY too much material or that the cheaper ones felt, well…cheap. Like a suffocating kind of cheap that I wouldn’t want to wear in the summer. 😜😅 The one I’m wearing is inexpensive at only $18 to $21 but feels a lot better than the suffocating ones I’ve tried in the past. I also like its length and that it doesn’t feel overwhelming. It comes in black, navy, and white HERE.
I’ve been talking about this wrap a lot the last few weeks, so sizing might be limited, though they seem to be restocking it. 🙌🏽 (BTW, the white one just got restocked!! Snag it HERE!) Regardless, the point is not all wraps are the same. Just like all other garments! 😊 They’re all cut differently, made of different material, etc. If you really want to try one but they haven’t worked well for you yet, don’t write them off completely. I almost did last year, but something compelled me to try 10 more this year (!!) and it resulted in me finding this one that I LOVE! Been wearing this and the white one a ton! Keep looking for the right one–there are so many different kinds out there.
Okay! Now, a few ways to wear one!
Navy or Black?
I got the navy version of this wrap because I wear navy so often. I mean, I could make a stronnnnng argument to myself to add the black one, and I might be trending that way. 😛 But for today, navy. You could do all of the following looks with a black wrap and swap all the navy pieces for black ones too.
SIZING INFO: I’m 5’6″ and usually S/M or 6 in clothes, 8.5 to 9 in shoes.
1. Solid Tank or Tee + Colored Pants + Metallic Accessories
This outfit totally works without the printed wrap, but the wrap sure does elevate the whole thing to a different level! Because the navy tank keeps things streamline with the navy base of the wrap, you could wear it with a lot of different colored pants. Dark blue jeans would work, as would white, coral, or olive pants. Lots of options! I went with my tan linen pants from Old Navy that I recently remixed 4 ways HERE.

2. Jumpsuit or Maxi Dress
I recently shared this outfit when I remixed this jumpsuit 3 ways. If it’s too hot for long pants, this totally works with a romper. And, if you’re not into jumpsuits or rompers, you could totally do this with a solid maxi dress! One huge reason I want to add the black version of this wrap is because it’d pair so well with my favorite maxi dress from Nordstrom (THIS one). A printed wrap is a perfect lightweight layer to throw over your solid dresses or jumpsuits!

3. Solid Tank or Tee + Shorts + Tan Accessories
This outfit uses the same top half as Outfit #1, but with different bottoms and tan accessories instead of metallic. I love how fresh outfits look with white shorts!
If you want to move away from the navy scheme, you could try this with a top/tank in any color in the print. Go for olive green, teal, peach, coral, or pink. The white bottoms are a blank canvas that will work with any color!
I’m wearing my favorite ModCloth tank. I’ve talked about it before, but in case you missed it, it’s super soft and stretchy, tunic length so it works with leggings but can be tied up like I did here, and it’s soooo stretchy that you can easily breastfeed in it. (I can almost NEVER breastfeed in v-neck tops by pulling down the neckline, but I can in this one. It’s so dang stretchy. I’m confident that if *I* can do it, almost anyone else can, too.) I wear size M. They come in several colors HERE.
