I Shopped for Style Club Members — Here’s What I Found💛

Fall style is officially on the brain in the Style Club even if many of us are still sweating through summer! 😅 Some members have already been busy shopping to prep their wardrobes and fill fall wardrobe gaps. During our last live Q&A, several members asked for help finding pieces that work for them, plus I recently asked members what everyone’s on the hunt for, so there have been lots of requests lately! I did some quick shopping for some of those requests, and since I ended up with quite a few finds, I’m sharing them here!

By the way, the Fall Style Guide drops TOMORROW for Style Club members and goes live for all PMTers next week! (I’ll be doing the warm fall version of whatever’s in the guide because it won’t cool down where I live for a looong time.)

Until then, browse through the shopping requests from Style Club members — you might be looking for the exact same things!

What Style Club Members Are Looking For

1. Tops in Spring Colors

Nellie asked for tops that fit her Spring color palette (from her seasonal color analysis). I found some cute ones that also work for her cool, creative style:
a. Short Sleeve Sweater
b. Short Sleeve Sweater with colorful stripes!
c. Short Sleeve Sweater with colored/white stripes.

2. Burgundy or White Crop Jacket

Michelle showed us an outfit she was considering wearing to an event, and we suggested a sharper completer piece, and one in burgundy or white/cream. Here are some options I shared with her — and by the way, burgundy is HOT this season, so add one of these to your own wardrobe!
a. Faux Suede Jacket
b. Wool Blend Bomber Jacket

c. Faux Suede Jacketlots of colors!
d. Sweater Jacket
e. Closureless Blazer (straight sizes) // Petites HERE

3. Tops in Saturated Colors

During last month’s live Q&A Renee and Lindsay both asked for tops in saturated colors and jewel tones. They also both have some Edginess mixed with Classic in their style, so these tops are specific to both their color requests and Style Type Mix. Renee was specifically looking for cobalt blue, so a lot of these tops are in that color. See if any of them suit your style as well!

Options: ONE | TWO | THREE | FOUR | FIVE | SIX (the pink one) | SEVEN | EIGHT | NINE

4. Chambray Shirts

Krista asked for chambray shirts that are specifically in a medium wash and don’t have fading. This is a great wardrobe staple to have, especially if you have more of a Classic style. Here are a few options!
a. Caslon
b. Gap
c. Gap — This one’s a bit lighter, though.
d. J.Crew Factory

5. Athletic Pants That Aren’t Joggers

Sarah’s request! This actually comes up quite a bit, and one style that’s a great alternative is the golf pant. It looks sleeker and a bit more structured, so it automatically looks more polished. Also, the silhouette is not the same as joggers — it doesn’t taper quite as much at the ankles, which I feel balances out wider hips better. It looks great if you don’t have wider hips as well!

Two Options:
a. Zella Pants
b. These Pants From Athleta — Come in LOTS of colors, and in straight, petite, and tall.

6. Athletic Wide Leg Pants

Speaking of non-jogger athletic pants, what I’VE been on the hunt for is athletic wide leg pants. I have a pair that I love, but it’s lined with fleece and is too hot for me this time of year. However, the non-fleece version from the same brand is too thin for me, so I’ve been looking — and I found some!!

These Zella pants are a sleek, sporty fabric with a little stretch. The waistband is fully stretchy. And they are exactly what I was looking for! LOVE.

One of our members, Melinda, also asked for some wide leg athleisure pants, and she’s really petite. So here’s a petite-friendly version to try from Athleta.

7. Short Sleeve Cashmere Sweater

From our member Amanda—remember her? She said she’d love a short sleeve cashmere sweater. Here are a few options!
a. Mongolian CashmereLots of colors!
b. Anthropologie — Looser fit, short so you don’t have to tuck, several colors, SO CUTE.
c. Puff Sleeve Wool & Cashmere

8. Short, Red Cardigan, Cool-Toned

Melissa asked for this, and her style is very Classic with some fun pops of Whimsy, so these cater to her!
a. Crewneck Cardigan — I have it in my cart in green and yellow hehe!
b. Lady Jacket style — These buttons are good for Melissa’s style.
c. Collared Cardigan — This collar would also be good for Melissa’s style.

9. Dresses With Defined Waists

Our member Penny asked for suggestions at last month’s live Q&A, and one of our members, Jen, along with others found some cute options for her! Penny’s style is Classic with Whimsical elements, so dresses with fun prints are for her. She also asked for dresses with defined waists. Oh, I believe her color palette is one of the Winter ones.
a. Boden Dress — Lots of great prints here.
b. Boden Maxi Dress — This one’s gorgeous!
c. Boden Jersey Dress — I was eyeing this one too!

There were lots more requests, like for bomber jackets, a white jacket, navy pants, burgundy pants, and belts, to name a few. But, there will be plenty of those in the upcoming Fall Guide’s bonus Shopping Link Collection. So, stay tuned for that coming out next week (or TOMORROW if you’re a Style Club member!)

Color-Specific Requests

Several of these requests were based on specific color needs, like spring palettes, jewel tones, or cool-toned reds. That’s because knowing your wardrobe color palette is super helpful! It allows you to narrow down the bajillion options out there, shop more efficiently, and get dressed more easily because your wardrobe actually goes together. Whether your palette is based on a professional color analysis or one you’ve chosen for yourself, it brings so much ease and clarity to your style.

Style-Specific Finds

You might’ve noticed that many of the finds here were tailored to someone’s Style Type Mix. That’s another super useful tool for clarifying what actually feels like you when you get dressed. Once you understand your Style Type Mix, shopping gets easier, dressing becomes faster, and you stop wasting money on pieces that look cute on someone else but just don’t work for you.
